Are there new ways of getting traffic to your blog? Maybe just strange ways. Andrew at The Blog Herald was discussing the topic of promoting one’s blog with their license plate. I can find some value in that, in addition to the downsides that Andrew pointed out, in particular if you are a victim of road rage.

But wouldn’t it be of more value to my blog if instead of having an ad to my site on my license plate, I had ads to my site on a whole slew of license plates? Really, backlinks are better posted on other sites. Instead of my old gray mommy van, I could solicit owners of more relevant cars to bring interesting traffic to my site.

Bloggers could start trading license plates to rank higher in the SERPS. Could you imagine if a Ferrari was driving around with your blog domain? Exactly!
